Steps to Assistance

  1. Visit your local Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) office (see “Resources and Contacts” below) or call to schedule a farm visit to find out if your lands are eligible.

  2. An NRCS representative will conduct a free, no-strings-attached site visit to determine eligibility based on your resource concerns.

  3. Develop a conservation plan for your farm and work with NRCS staff to complete an application for your project.

  4. Once the application is approved, you will sign a contract with the NRCS, the project will get approved, and the funds will be dispersed.
